Article3

Rebekah Robb is a volunteer at her daughter’s school and helps teach Sunday school at her church. She especially loves writing stories for and about children.  She gets many of her ideas for her stories in her own home. She is an Indiana Hoosier by birth, but has lived in Richmond the last five years with her husband, Tim, and three children; Douglas, 12, Rachel, 10 and Elisabeth, 7.  Rebekah thoroughly enjoys motherhood with all its ups and downs and feels truly blessed.  If you add up their ages, She can claim 29 years of mothering experience. She's learned some things along the way of this journey called motherhood, and will share some helpful tips to make your personal journey through motherhood more enjoyable.

STOP. LOOK. LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN!

“Let’s go, Conner.” Mom pushed her chair in at the mall food court. “We’re meeting Aunt Cindy and Uncle Dave by Macy’s in five minutes.”

“But mom, you have...” Conner tried preventing his mother from having an embarrassing moment.

“No but’s,” she interrupted.  “Come on, we’re going to be late.” She sped down the mall, Conner followed behind.

“I know, but...” Conner still offering help.

“Hurry up,” she interrupted again.  “We’re never going to make it.”  Mom went on about Macy’s and the big sale they are having and how great the prices are the whole walk down the mall. “Hello Cindy, hello Dave.” My mom said giving hugs as if we haven’t seen them in 10 yrs.  My aunt pulled my mom aside and whispered in her ear.

“Why didn’t you tell me I had a piece of lettuce on my front tooth?” she scolded Conner as she tried licking it off discreetly.

“I tried.”

Listen to your children.  God gave us TWO ears and ONE mouth for a reason.
