The Devil Trembles When We Pray

God works sometimes slowly,
but His work is perfect. Have you already prayed a long time for your son, husband, wife or neighbor?
The devil will tell you,
“See I told you, God does not hear you. How long have you already prayed?"
The devil is a liar. Do not listen to him. Not one prayer is lost. The devil often laughs when we are up to our eyes in work. He giggles when we make plans, but he trembles when we pray..."

Pastor’s Corner-We invite you to use this section of the site to share a teaching or reflection. Our hope is that we will all be blessed and grow in understanding of our differences while celebrating what unites us. If you would like to share something, or know someone who would, please contact us  at info@SpotlightRichmond.com. This month Fr. Renninger writes Why Bad Things Happen...

Cultivating Community-As a way of beginning the dialog on how we can cultivate communityin the Metro Richmond Region, we share reflections from Pastor Richmond Warren from his book The Purpose Driven Life. An interview with Pastor Warren on what it’s been like now that his wife has breast cancer and him having “wealth” from his book sales. “Happy moments, PRAISE GOD. Difficult moments, SEEK GOD. Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD. Painful moments, TRUST GOD. Every moment, THANK GOD.” Read his complete interview here.

Youth Pastor’s Corner-Discuss a topic. Share successes and resources. Network. Collaborate on ideas and events. Be blessed and be a blessing. Post your topic or give your feedback or opinion.
As many of you know, our vision is to have a separate site for all teens. We would like to begin by using SpotlightRichmond.com. Some ideas are to list all Christian clubs that exist in each school. Another idea is to post events – church and secular for teens. Next – we would gather teens together who might want to be part of the creation of their own site. Your help and feedback are very important too bring this dream into reality.

Please call Karen (874-4591) or send an email to: info@SpotlightRichmond.comif you have any ideas or suggestions or would like to be part of a team to work on this project.

Sweet Monday – Women’s Socials on a Shoestring - Tied to a Generous God
Realizing that women are busy, but often feel isolated and lonely, Kim opened her home on the first Monday night of the month to women in her neighborhood, church family, circle of friends and acquaintances. She served a simple dessert and coffee, and gave each women candy to take home as a treat.
